For Kids' Sake seminars provide parent education to assist children with the pain and trauma experienced during divorce. This 4-hour class meets the court-ordered requirements for divorcing parents. Even the most loving parents find it difficult to focus on their children's needs during such a traumatic time. For Kids' Sake puts parents in touch with their children's needs, and provides them with the knowledge and skills to safely nurture their children through this process.
For Kids' Sake is offered in English and when needed, in Spanish. We also offer a correspondence course (additional fee of $5) for parents now living outside of the 100 mile radius of San Angelo, TX. Facilitated by a team of professional men and women with qualifications and experience in parenting issues, this seminar is intended to be a helpful resource for parents going through a divorce, or for those struggling with visitation or custody issues.
- Participants must attend all 4 hours to receive credit.
- Cost: $50; payable by credit card or money order, at West Texas Counseling & Guidance, by noon the Thursday before. No cash or checks are accepted.
- Due to sensitive topics being discussed, we politely request no children in attendance of these classes. If parents are unable to secure child care, we provide an option for the course material to be sent to them.
